i remember getting nauseous after watching the healing animations, it's a cool game but i became stuck in the tutorial as a kid and never managed to progress lol
(i got stuck at the part of using the radar to find diamonds)

if you like far cry 2 i think you'll like far cry 4 too
№4282
yeah, it's probably the best game in the series. i like how you can get enemies out of cover if you cripple one of their buddies with a sniper rifle, they'll run over and try to carry them to safety

>>4280haha, well if you ever do play it again, the diamonds are in a little shack/garage right next to the house you come out of, in a briefcase

I wish there was some more variety in the missions, it's all "go here kill this guy" which is fine because the gunplay feels good but i wanna do stuff like sneaking around bugging vehicles or buildings, driving a truck full of guns and killing enemies along the way, picking up weapon airdrops. etc etc

>>4288i see, i remember trying to dig the ground around some trains...

I started playing it recently too just because of the crowbcat video, i like it but as a soy-fi enthusiast the setting is not good though

I recently finished it for a second time, and i enjoyed it more because i could save anywhere i wanted, unlike the console version.
although i don't mind the game, i just dont like how there's not much to do outside of the main campaign and i dont like how all the missions feel the same but you could argue that ties into the immersion, because you're just a grunt doing work for whoever asks.
It would also be nice if the enemy's guns would jam too

i found this video to be a really cool analysis of a lot of the stuff in far cry 2

we need more games taking place during an african civil war. seems like a pretty untouched goldmine.

>>4270i look at it and see wasted potential. it's probably the best far cry game and it still sucks dick

>>4419I agree. African warfare can be so chaotic and diverse in who’s fighting who that nearly any scenario in an African setting would make for a great shooter or strategy game. Not like I’m expecting “Total War: Congo”, doe, as it feels like its warfare is always ignored in favor of another game about U.S vs China or Russia or Nazis and so on. Actually a Total War game in the Second Congo War sounds really gemmy, but of course it’s just sad how ignored the possibilities are.

Ubisoft should make one last farcry in Africa, with similar mechanics and better sidequests. farcry has been stale since 4-5

I downloaded it and remembered I get motion sickness from fps with low fov.
