it could only have something to do with thermals, but if you don't check your thermal sensors you're retarded, that's one of the first things you check after opening your task manager to see what hogs your memory and cpu power if your machine lags.
if your machine is too hot, it gets throttled to not become hotter and melt itself or force shut down.

idk honestly because it was a gpu issue and not cpu, some gigachad posted this fix on microsoft forums so i tried it out of desperation, also thought it was retarded at first but it works. Also should have mentioned it's a second hand work laptop, pretty high end for 2015 but the vents are on the bottom instead of the fucking side which is beyond retarded as it overheats super easily if i dont have the back propped up on books and shit to make some space for the hot air to come out so at least that happens less now

i dunno, but the only broken driver i have seen so far is novideos proprietary one, as well as AYYMDs proprietary one.
nouveau and mesa work perfectly fine, the performance is awesome
i can play minetest or dreamcast games on 15 year old potatoes with integrated GPUs just fine, you can't say the same about novideo or AYYMD garbage from the same era, especially if you run winglows.

winkike was not made to be tinkered around with, it's a binary operating system and it is how it is, you're not allowed to change it, and trying to do so anyway will be a pain in the ass, and leave you with a half broken system.
