buy another thinkpad, they usually come with a charger and theyre very cheap if you buy the right model from the right place
alternatively, buy a new charger from ebay for 20$, but you won't get a thinkpad along with it so its more expensive to buy just a charger
or if you know how to, repair your charger
if its just a broken cable itll be easy, if its a busted coil or something it can become tricky

you can get away with it as long as the volts and amps are relatively close

too bad if your wire is fucked, also this is a bad idea if you dont know what youre doing because some chargers deliver cleaner power than others
thinkpad chargers generally deliver very clean power and (most old) thinkpads want clean power, but wont die if you feed them dirtier power because theyre designed to last basically forever
it really depends tho, and if you dont want to take chances make sure you get a high quality charger and not some chinesium shit
or save yourself the trouble because a new charger costs 10$ on ebay kek
