nothing in terms of programming knowledge, though I am a math-CS dual major. The point of university is to get a degree to get a higher paying salary. yeah but python compiles to python-VM bytecode so you'd need a C to python bytecode compiler instead of C to x86-64 compiler.

I use python for scientific computing and it werks for me

different languages serve different purposes, python serves the purpose of allowing you to write scripts or small GUI applications fast.
