cf19 ceased sale around 2018 i think - but they're easy to find on ebay. if you want something new you can get a getac v110 which is pretty much the same thing. getac b300 on the far right is only sold to the indian market now - although if you deal with getac directly you might be able to get one. amrel laptops (like the one in the middle - which actually isn't an RK9 i've just noticed) can still be purchased from mil-def or roda - but they're in the $8000+ range (i have been saving up to buy one for a long time). you can buy ex military roda laptops on ebay as well but they're pretty old and finding accessory modules (the whole point of the design) besides the DVD drive is impossible.

i have one, the keyboard and trackpad are not fun to use.

you can get used to it. i prefer resistive touchpads because they don't do random shit like zoom 100% out, scroll to the bottom of a page, and then close my window if i give them a glancing light touch by accident. that shit used to happen to me every 20 seconds when i used normal laptops. i think people just get used to it and accept that consumer laptops do random things for no reason

i dented the wall corner of a dorm room on accident with a toughbook. The toughbook was unharmed.
