silk road isn't a thing and hasn't been a thing in forever.

if you are having trouble either try changing identities or circuits

if this doesn't work you may have js off (which, is preferred but interferes with websites sometimes, I prefer to just not use websites that prevent this though)

the hidden service may also just be overwhelmed.

remember that tor.taxi and daunt are good places to get links without accidently bumping into 'p or phishing sites or terrorist sites and shit like that

install tor, start tor (e.g. systemctl start tor), run any browser, use 127.0.0.1:9050 as SOCKS proxy, and enable DNS proxying, then you're good.
oh yeah, also disable JS.
